How to create staff login credentials. If they’re not already in your contact database, click on add contact on top right of this header. Type in the staff member, provider or admins first and last name. In this case we’re adding Andrew Light. Adding a phone number is optional here but we do need an email address. In this case, his email address is alight@crystalcleardm.com. We can add a birthdate and we can add his gender. Then click Save and Continue because that will bring us to the next step. If we were to choose Save and Close, that would keep us here, but we’re not done with this contact, because we want to create his login credentials. Click on Save and Continue, and that will bring us here. Here, we can add additional profile details. In this case, we’re just going to work from the contact profile itself.
Let’s scroll down and click on Save Contact. Once we’re on the contact page, click on Edit on the right-hand side. We’re going to change his status to non-patient or marketing general business and for marketing group, we’re going to add him to office staff. We’re going to type that in, in this bar here. If this is a manager, then we would also click on Office Managers. So, managers will be in Office Staff and Office Managers, but staff is only Office Staff. We know this is selected by this black check mark on the right-hand side. Then, click on Save, right above this contact card. Our next step is to scroll down a touch, click on our History Dropdown and select Edit Full Profile. Here, we’re going to add our patient ID number. In this case, it’s Staff Access. Because I filled this out before, I have my staff and admin access in this little dropdown. You most likely will not have that, so just type in Staff Access.
You’ll notice as I type anything here under Edit Full Profile, simply by clicking away, this will save for me. We can see this says Contact Updated. It’s going to give us this green confirmation bar. Now we can fill out the company and position name if you would like to. Under company you can write your practice’s name and for position we can write Front Desk. Once we’re done adding that patient ID number, company and/or position, we’re going to move to the next step, which is login details. Come to this dropdown again where it says Edit Full Profile now, and click on Login Details. From here, we’re going to fill in Andrew Light’s email address, which is his username and the password. You need an uppercase, a lowercase, a character, and a number. We want to keep this as secure as possible. Then, write the password one more time here below. Once you’re finished, click on Save. That’s how you create staff login credentials.
