Adding appointment types to your calendar. First go to your left hand navigation menu, scroll down to configuration, and choose calendar, your second option. Here we can see all of the appointment types that are already in your SPC. Yours may look a little bit different because this is unique to your practice. And right now we’re playing in the SPC place [sandbox 00:00:21]. We can see the appointment type name, the category, the background color, so the color that appears in the calendar, and your text color. We can see that we have our block books, our consultations, followups, photos, our pre and post ops, et cetera.
We’re going to build a new appointment type. To do so, click on add appointment type. So our first step is naming this appointment type. In this case, procedure dash rest. I can change the appointment type background color. Right now it’s this pretty pastel purple, but I can change it to more of a lime green or a little bit of a gray-ish green. I’m going to choose my category here, which is procedure. I can change my appointment type text color. And as you can see as a change this, it’s also changing that little example right underneath this. So if I choose white, I can see this a little bit better. I’m going to choose my default duration. Remember that this is in minutes, so in this case I’m going to write 120 minutes. I want to enable my email reminder. I’m going to choose my email campaign that I want to pair this with.
I can also enable the text reminder as well. If I want to instigate an email and text reminder. And if I scroll down here, I can see all the services that have been configured in my SPC. And I want to go ahead and choose those within my breast category. I can filter this by service name or by category in the far right. Then I’m going to scroll down and select my breast augmentation procedure, check on these little boxes on my breast procedures, all four. Then click on save. And if I scroll down, I’ll be able to see the procedure dash breast that we just built, categories, procedure. It’s a lime green color and the text color is white. Now if I want to change my appointment type background color or edit this appointment type in any way, I can simply click on this link here, click on my appointment type background color. And I can change my text by clicking on this again and choose black or white or red. Whatever the case may be.
Let’s go ahead and choose black. And I’m going to scroll down. I can make sure that these are still ticked and then click on save. Again, we can see our procedure breast. The peachy color with black text. Now if I come up to my calendar, my left hand navigation menu and select view calender, create an appointment with this type. So for the sake of practice I’m going to choose Rachel [inaudible 00:03:05] or myself for this. She’s my provider, my location, so just those normal steps that we go through when creating an appointment, choose my procedure breast. Now we can see the four services that we ticked whenever we’re creating the appointment type. I can click as many as I want to. In this case, I’m just going to go ahead and select breast augmentation, then finish filling out the appointment type details. Click on save. And that’s how you create your appointment types.
